Elizabeth + Travis. Durham, NC Wedding.

August 18, 2011

I’m finally back and catching up from a whirlwind trip to Omaha, Nebraska and Asheville, North Carolina. Two weddings, 1500 miles apart, and three hours of sleep all in about 32 hours. Yes, that was hard. But I had two amazing couples with wonderful families and that made the whole trip worth it. Those two weddings will be coming up soon but before then, I want to share Elizabeth + Travis’ wedding in Durham at the end of July. . .

As usual in a North Carolina summer, we were worried about those afternoon thunderstorms. It didn’t rain until after Elizabeth and Travis made their grand exit, but it was blazing hot outside! Thank goodness the church was full of windows and beautiful natural light!

The details . . .

Venue : Church of the Good Shepherd. Durham, NC.

Bride’s dress : purchased at Bridal Gallery – MacGregor Village

Florist : Woodcroft Flowers

Catering : Hog Heaven BBQ

DJ : Unlimited Sounds

Cake : Bluebird Cupcakes

I love a happy mother-of-the-bride!

Liz’s dad came in for a second to see his daughter all dressed up. Look how happy he is!

Kisses all around . . .

A few frames of our gorgeous bride alone . . .

These two photos crack me up . . .

Yes, I was totally loving these hallways.

All of Travis and Elizabeth’s guests mingled in the foyer before the ceremony. I love all these smiles!

There was a slight mix-up in the rings during the ceremony. He put his ring on her, and she tried her ring on his finger! They couldn’t stop laughing, it was so funny!

Bluebird cupcakes did an amazing job on the dessert! (Believe me, I tried one!) And Elizabeth collected these antique mismatched plates for the cupcake table. Such a cute idea!

We ducked out of the reception for a few minutes of portraits . . .

Clouds were rolling in at this point and left us with some great soft light!

Congratulations Liz + Travis! I hope you had tons of fun on your honeymoon :)
