Jenna + Adam. Winston Salem Wedding.

May 5, 2011

Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with Logan Jarrard as a second shooter on a wedding in Winston Salem. I met Logan at our church a few months ago and was excited to finally work with him, but I drove through the most insane weather on the way to the wedding… pouring rain, strong winds, and dark clouds. I thought I was going to get caught in the tornado that hit the southern part of our state that afternoon! Thankfully, I made it to the bride’s house in Winston Salem and the weather totally cleared up! After over an inch of rain, the clouds moved out and all we had was sunshine. Beautiful!

We started the afternoon by taking some shots of Jenna’s incredible dress…

I love some happy bridesmaids and family… They were so excited to see Jenna as a bride!

I love that Jenna’s dad got to take part in this special time.

A few finishing touches . . .

And a smile at dad . . .

And we took Jenna upstairs for some portraits . . .

Logan found some gorgeous window light!

Jenna’s headpiece was worn by her grandmother during her wedding years ago. Isn’t that precious?

I got to take Jenna’s bouquet outside for a few minutes . . .

Relaxing before we head to the church . . . I wish I looked this good just hanging out in the kitchen!

I love the faces of Jenna’s mom and the groom (Adam) watching her come down the aisle . . .

Married!

I grabbed this shot of Jenna talking with the officiant while the family photos were going on. I just love the light coming in through the window!

Three generations of beautiful women . . .

On the way to the reception we stopped in a front yard to photograph Jenna and Adam alone. Have you ever seen such a gorgeous, huge Azalea bush? LOVE it!

We were able to take some photos of the bridal party once we arrived at the Deacon Tower Grille.

First dance!

Jenna’s brother sang a couple of songs for her at the beginning of the reception. I can’t lie, I definitely teared up a little. Ok, more than a little. It was so sweet!

Once the sun popped back out from behind the clouds, we were able to take some more photos of the newlyweds! They’re so happy and cute together . . .

I usually don’t like wide-angle shots so much but I think this one is cute . . .

We were so excited to have access to the field . . .

Back inside at the reception there were toasts . . .

. . . and tons of dancing . . .

This sweet couple lasted the longest in the “Anniversary dance” … they’ve been married over 60 years!

Congratulations, Adam & Jenna!
