Okay, somehow it has been way too long since I’ve gotten to photograph an engagement session and I had SO much fun getting back into it with Tiffani + Jamal! We were originally planning to shoot their session at their wedding venue which is a gorgeous farm with tons of property but after rescheduling a couple of times due to late-afternoon summer rain showers, we started talking about doing an early morning session. Since the venue wasn’t open early enough we had to consider some other options. I looked back through their getting-to-know-you questionnaire and started thinking “these two don’t really seem like the walk-around-a-farm-gazing-int0-each-others-eyes type” (Side note : I have all my couples submit answers to this questionnaire that help me get to know their back story, what they love to do, their personalities, and their relationship details and it is SO helpful! Especially since I don’t get to meet lots of my couples until their session or wedding day!) So, while I normally love that type of couple, it just seemed like Tiffani + Jamal needed something a little different.
So we met up early one morning on top of a parking deck in downtown Greensboro and had the best time finding that soft morning light and some colorful places around town to shoot. I love how comfortable these two are together. They’ve been together a long time and it shows! You can tell Tiffani is most comfortable in a tight embrace and Jamal loves her silliness and affection and was constantly flashing her that amazing smile. They are adventurous, fun, and just so sweet. I can’t wait for these two to get married next year!
